Code of Conduct
Expectations
All parents, assistant coaches, head coaches, players, helpers, spectators, and other attendees must conduct themselves in an
orderly, respectful, and sportsmanlike manner at all Oaklyn Cougars Athletic Association events,
including but not limited to games and practices.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action:
- Unauthorized entry onto the playing area
- Physical abuse of referees, coaches, players, or any individual
- Verbal abuse, especially involving obscene, racial, ethnic, or sexual slurs
- Fighting among parents or spectators
- Crowd control issues that require police involvement
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages at any event
- Any other behavior that results in loss of control or disruption of the event
Disciplinary Process
Reports submitted to the Oaklyn Cougars Athletic Association Board of Directors will be handled as follows:
- The Board will investigate and create a written incident report.
- After review, the Executive Board may impose one of the following:
- Probation for a specified period
- Suspension from league activities for a specified period
- Permanent suspension from all league activities
- If a parent fails to comply with a ruling, their child may be suspended from participation until the parent complies.
Acknowledgment
I understand that:
- I am responsible for the conduct of all guests who attend events to support my child.
- These guests are also bound by this Code of Conduct.
- Violation of these policies may result in disciplinary action or removal from the organization.
